    Proud Highway is a quintet from Nashville, Tennessee formed by Allen Thompson (guitar/vocals), Eggy Gorman (drums/vocals), Spanky McCluer (bass/vocals), Jeffrey Howell (keys), and Ben Sparraco (guitar/vocals). The band takes its name from a recently published collection of Hunter S. Thompson’s formative essays and articles.

    Proud Highway applies HST’s Gonzo philosophy to their music, injecting irony, humor, and a whole lot of psychedelia into Southern Rock to create a soundscape that reflects their environment. The combination of dual guitar riffs, tight grooves, soulful vocals, trance-inducing improvisation, and carefully crafted storytelling enchants audiences and leaves them wanting more.
