Country
Dallas Wayne is a singer, songwriter, radio DJ, voice-over artist, actor and music producer. He considers himself lucky to make a living doing things he loves. Some might say it has more to do with talent than luck.
Dallas has performed throughout North America and Europe, releasing 13 albums of his own, and performing on various compilation and band recordings such as the TwangBangers, Heybale! and a Grammy-nominated Special Consensus bluegrass album. He has made multiple theater, TV and movie appearances, including performances on The Grand Ole Opry, Larry's Country Diner and Country's Family Reunion.
Dallas’ latest album, Coldwater, Tennessee, was released on the BFD/Audium Nashville label. Produced by Buddy Cannon, this album of original tunes includes co-writes with longtime collaborator Robbie Fulks and two of Dallas’ songwriting heroes—Buddy Cannon and Whisperin’ Bill Anderson.
Dallas started songwriting in Nashville, where he developed his vocal style singing demos for the top music publishing houses. While touring Europe in the ’90s, he signed a record deal and moved to Scandinavia, where he was a staff songwriter for Warner/Chappell Music.
After returning to the U.S., he released albums on the HighTone, Koch Nashville and Smith Entertainment record labels. Dallas later released a popular collection of classic country songs on two Heart of Texas Records albums, Songs The Jukebox Taught Me Volume 1 and Volume 2, including duets with Willie Nelson, Jeannie Seely, Darrell and Mona McCall, and Paula Nelson.
On the Air
Dallas can be heard on SIRIUS XM Radio six days a week on Willie’s Roadhouse (channel 61) and in Outlaw Country (channel 62). He got his start in radio in 1989, drawing on his many years as a performer.
Dallas solidified his radio career when he joined Outlaw Country in 2005. A year later, he accepted a position at KHYI 95.3 FM in Dallas, where he served as Program Director and morning drive-time DJ until the end of 2007.
Dallas later became On-Air Personality and Associate Format Manager for the Texas-based honky-tonk SIRIUS XM channel Willie’s Roadhouse.
Dallas has received numerous awards, including induction into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, CMA of Texas Choice award, Ameripolitan Music Awards DJ of the Year, R.O.P.E. Disc Jockey of the Year award, and several Academy of Western Artists’ Will Rogers awards.
He currently lives in Bristol, TN/VA, the Birthplace of Country Music.
