Returning back to Michigan after entertaining 22 years in southern California ~ Kevin's Piano Bar show "Songs from Sinatra to The Smiths" draws from a vast array of songs from The 1940's to present day popular music with a nod to the new wave. One minute he can play a medley of songs from Cole Porter then turn around and do a tribute to Prince. In San Diego,Cavanaugh performed weekly at The Caliph, The Turf Supper Club and Martinis. Between gigs he found time to open for Rita Coolidge, do Christmas parties for director John Waters, play in an episode of Flavor Flav's "Flavor of Love", fail on "America's Got Talent" and lose a piano in the Showcase Showdown on "The Price Is Right".
