Description
Some people emerged from the stay-at-home orders with a plant collection, others with a six-pack. Philip Labes emerged with songs capturing some of the chaos, loss, and humor of the last three years. Philip continues the storytelling tradition of artists like Paul Simon and Don McLean, with a sense of fun that's fully original. Philip gained quick viral fame on TikTok, where he was spotted by Jason Mraz and invited to open on the Grammy-winner's North American tour. In the last year, Philip released an album for each season, something never previously done by anyone (except Vivaldi.) Now he's packing the four seasons in a carry-on and bringing them on tour.

Joshua Bond is a Canadian songwriter who is set upon reminding his audience of their nature. In an age of mandated overconsumption and depleting resources, it is community which has been forgone, and it is through art and learning that it may be rediscovered. Wielding an acoustic guitar, he hopes to deliver his message in a display of unrivalled jazzy finger picking and folky existential lyricism.

Cammi McDermott is Influenced by artists spanning pop, rock, folk, and country styles, one thing is certain - whether acoustic or sonically embellished, her songs are raw, unfiltered, and most importantly, authentic. Relatable and down to earth; Cammi is the queer “every-girl”. Guitar in hand, Cammi explores the intersection of grief and love candidly; writing about her relationships with people, the world around her, and of course, herself.

Joshua Bond is just like any other 21 year old song writer from Toronto, but better. The primary weapons in his artistic arsenal are his acoustic guitar and his lyricism, complimented nicely by a complete inability to stay focused on one thing for longer than a few minutes. This means his thoughtful and heartfelt lyrics often find themselves drowning in an ocean of ambitious musical ideas and unrestricted creativity. It's only a matter of time before he figures out how to make it sound good.
