Altgeld

The founding members of Chicago band Altgeld (Joe Steffek, vocals, Ray Skamay, guitar and Nick Kieta, bass) met in high school where they were the only kids they knew who couldn't shut up about music.
After years of playing music together in different projects and formations (most recently The Inventors) they set out to start a new band. In the process, they met multi instrumentalist/engineer Andrew Jung (Estate Sale, Cassandra Lynn) whose wide array of influences and passion for crafting sounds both impressed and excited them. Once the songs started to take shape they enlisted Carl Wesa (Glenneyre) to play drums. Carl brought the final ingredient to help form Altgeld's sound.
With a long list of influences, Altgeld can be hard to pin down. Named after a street that connects two of the member's homes, Altgeld uses the idea of connection throughout their music. They are a band in the fullest extent of the word, and believe that music is best when created with a group of people. A song's genesis may come from a single person, but the finished product always has a bit of each member in it.
Their first single, "Wrapped In Rags" is set to release on April, 24, 2024

Moonbird is a Chicago band formed in the spring of 2022 by strangers seeking a creative outlet. Drawing from a variety of guitar-based genres, Moonbird is living proof that not everyone on Craigslist is trying to murder you. What does Moonbird sound like? A hug. Your favorite CD as a kid. A cigarette at a house party. Moonbird is whatever you want it to be.
