Miss Hits is an eight piece band from all corners of the Bay Area blending indie, jazz, R&B, and neo soul. Their sound is built around groove driven rhythm sections, lush horns, and thoughtful songwriting that moves easily between danceable tracks and more stripped back melodies. The project started with Iranian American bassist, trombonist, and composer Leela Paymai, whose writing brings together the band’s mix of influences. What began as a group of friends playing together in a garage has grown into a tight live band known for energetic shows and a sound that blends multiple styles without feeling boxed into one lane.
