Description
A two–time GRAMMY Award nominee and the 2016 winner of Downbeat’s “Rising Star” poll, Pat Bianchi has established himself as one of the most in–demand organists on today’s jazz scene. He has few rivals for his command of the instrument, harmonic prowess, and rhythmic intensity. By the age of eleven, Bianchi was gigging with dance bands around his hometown of Rochester NY. After graduating Berklee cum laude, a long–term job as house keyboardist at the El Chapultepec club in Denver CO gave him the opportunity to play with such greats as singer Dakota Staton and saxophonists Red Holloway,  Bud Shank, and Pete Christlieb. Upon moving to New York, Pat was recruited by Lou Donaldson and worked with the veteran horn man for several years, eventually splitting his time between the Donaldson group and that of guitarist Pat Martino. Pat Bianchi’s latest CD, In The Moment (Savant, 2018) features guest appearances by Pat Martino, Joe Locke, Peter Bernstein, and the late great vocalist Kevin Mahogany. Pat Bianchi – organ Troy Roberts – saxophone Paul Bollenback – guitar Byron Landham – drums
