Formerly known as Cỏ Band, Out of Office is a seven-piece group based in San Francisco, born out of the Vietnamese diaspora and bonded together by a shared love of music.
By day they're engineers and designers, the kind of people who debug code and ship pixels.
By night they trade their laptops for a stage.
While their day jobs keep them busy, music remains the highlight of their lives, and "Out of Office" is still their favorite status on Slack.
This show is a love letter to the songs that raised them. Expect Vietnamese and English songs spanning the decades, from timeless classics to indie favorites, woven together with the rhythms they grew up on.
Two vocalists lead the way over drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, and saxophone, delivering crowd-favorite pop with jazz and R&B running through its veins.
Different roots, one stage, one love that brought them together.

Ice Cream Social Club

Jess, Minh and Daniel have come together against all odds, backgrounds, genres and careers to form Ice Cream Social Club — a trio running on coding, chords, and questionable planning, only one of whom actually eats ice cream. Minh and Daniel are a self-declared one-hit-wonder duo; Jess is a classical musician who occasionally trades the violin for voice and piano, and for this set picks up an even newer instrument: singing in Vietnamese. Between them: symphony stages, a couple of albums, and more enthusiasm than rehearsals. Together they have as much fun as if they were at an ice cream social on a hot summer day.
