ORGŌNE
With a signature sound signified by lockstep rhythms & a deep grasp of soul and funk, ORGŌNE has built a reputation over the past 2 decades as being one of the tightest, fieriest live bands in the country & a top notch crew in the studio. On their new album “Lost Knights”, ORGŌNE offer up a collection of heavy-duty psychedelic funk-rock anthems created to be played loud and raucously.

Object Heavy

Object Heavy is Northern California’s hardest hitting Soul sensation. While based in Arcata, this cast of musical characters has made waves up and down the North Coast of California, the Pacific Northwest, and various parts of the United States, as well as being voted best band in Humboldt, two out of three years nominated.

Fast forward to where Object Heavy has hit the studio, cooked up a new album produced by Kelly Finnigan(Monophonics), showing off their progressive yet soulful sound. This will be released in the coming months of 2022.

With powerhouse vocalist Richard Love at the helm, and backed by Brian Swislow(keys), Leo Plummer(gtr), Ian Taylor(bass), and Sam Kaplan-Good(drums), the band is fully prepared for whatever’s next, leading into the future in celebration of their new album, “Love & Gravity”.

Object Heavy’s magnetic blend of classic Cadillac soul, effortlessly contagious dance grooves, vocal harmonies and blazing musicianship is ripe for a live experience you don’t want to miss.

    ORGONE

    Funk

For nearly twenty years ORGŌNE (a universal life force, pronounced or-gōne) has churned out gritty funk and soul recordings and toured relentlessly across the United States and Europe. Traditionally both the studio and live iterations of the band drew on a tight-knit collective of the West Coast’s finest funk and soul musicians—although founding members Sergio Rios (guitar/engineer) and Dan Hastie (keyboards) have been constant anchors. Since late 2013, Rios and Hastie have been joined by Dale Jennings (bass), Sam Halterman (drums), and singer/lyricist Adryon de León to form a permanent nucleus.

ORGŌNE’s accolades are too long to list in entirety. ORGŌNE’s live show captivates audiences and packs dance floors—whether it’s on sold out headlining tours; sharing the stage with The Roots, Al Green, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and Galactic; or appearances at festivals like Bonnaroo, New Orleans Jazz Fest, High Sierra, Bear Creek, and Jam Cruise. The well-traveled band has released albums on Ubiquity, Shanachie, and Colemine Records and served as the studio band on hits like Alicia Keys’ “Teenage Love Affair” and Cee Lo Green’s Grammy-winning “Fool For You.” Critics like NPR and Jambase don’t shy away from heaping praise on a group with “irresistible funkiness and ability to transcend genre” (LA Weekly).

Since ORGŌNE released their album Connection on 3 Palm Records, and distributed by Colemine Records and Secretly Distribution, they have released multiple singles including their cover of “It’s My Thing”, featuring Adryon de Leon. Their second LP from 3 Palm Records was releases in 2021, Moonshadows; featuring multiple artists from the Orgone family to create a flying high blend of late 70’s California soul and funky rock.
