Paris-based trio, Oracle Sisters make music that is at once melodic, poetic and visionary. Working with the lightning speed afforded by the simplicity of a piano and a guitar, they construct complexity through their lyrics which stem from thoughts and observations of everyday life to the broader planes of symbolism. Their melodies, intertwined with harmony, always strive to uplift and surprise in the spirit of a great pop song coupled with the depth and feeling of a timeless folk song. This unique sound conjured through years of writing around kitchen tables and experimenting in the studio comes to full fruition on their debut album Hydranism.
Born from a friendship almost forgotten, from the flatlands of Belgium, and later scattered between New York and Edinburgh. Lewis Lazar and Christopher Willatt discovered an instinctive songwriting connection as teenagers, staying in touch after leaving home to make their way in the world. In 2017, they moved to Paris to give their songwriting partnership a home on the promise of part time work booking artists at a cabaret. It is here they met Finnish songwriter and drummer Julia Johansen.
The trio released two EPs to critical acclaim in 2020 and 2021. Aptly titled Paris Iand Paris II, the songs reflect their newly adopted home and were supported by sold out shows across Europe. Their songs have been streamed over 25 million times by fans across the globe and garnered the support from notable radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, KCRW, KEXP, Radio Nova, France Inter, and many more.
Oracle Sisters decamped to Hydra, Greece to write and record their debut album, Hydranism, which is set to be released in early 2023. Recorded over the course of two months, the 11-track album reflects a world suspended in time between the future and the past, and embraces larger than life ballads, intimate folk songs and table thumping rousers spun with the silk of poetic reveries

After many years of collaboration and creative co-mingling, Casey Jane (of The Lostines) and Sabine McCalla (recently featured in the blockbuster film ‘Sinners’) join forces on stage to share songs and stories from the still-beating heart of the New Orleans singer-songwriter scene. Hailing from opposite ends of the country, yet informed by the same shimmering heat and sultry mystery that defines south Louisiana’s musical heritage, Casey and Sabine offer complimentary interpretations of the golden age of rhythm & blues, doo-wop, country and folk, as exemplified by the 2024 release of “Meet the Lostines” and Sabine’s 2018 EP “Folk”.
Originally from the mountain west, Casey Jane’s high, crystalline singing-style remains reminiscent of an early life amongst tall pines and clear streams, and her decade in New Orleans connotes a deep reverence for the legendary vocal groups that define the region’s signature sound. Sabine’s Haitian heritage and years studying and emulating the diverse sounds of the American South combine spectacularly to form her unique blend of regional styles, all carried by her rich voice and powerful grasp on the disparate folk traditions she so faithfully embodies. Though often found in each other's bands, or sharing a stage in a sweaty Louisiana dive bar, you can definitely expect to enjoy this collaborative set by these two distinctly gifted songwriters who share a community, as well as their soaring harmonies.
