OPTIMISTIC is coming to Middle Ages Music Hall!
Syracuse-based OPTIMISTIC brings Radiohead's music to life with incredible attention to detail. Founded by 16-year-old guitarist Dylan Michael, the band originally set out to perform OK Computer in its entirety before expanding to a show spanning Radiohead's catalog.
Blending faithful arrangements with elements of Radiohead's legendary live performances, OPTIMISTIC uses layered guitars, synthesizers, and live electronics to recreate the sounds and atmosphere that make the band's music so distinctive.

OPTIMISTIC is a Syracuse-based Radiohead tribute built by five musicians with a shared love for the band and an obsession with getting the details right.
The project was founded and is musically directed by 16-year-old guitarist Dylan Michael, who originally envisioned OPTIMISTIC as a live performance of OK Computer from front to back. After rehearsing the album throughout 2025, the band expanded its approach into a set spanning Radiohead's catalog, combining album arrangements with elements drawn from the band's legendary live performances.
With two 16-year-old guitarists at its core, OPTIMISTIC brings a distinctly young energy to music that spans generations. Corey Paige leads the band on vocals alongside musicians Dylan Michael, Braylon Northrup, Mike Spadaro, and Jeff Tripoli.
The band utilizes guitar effects, synthesizers, backing tracks, live electronics and even unconventional instruments to recreate the sounds that make Radiohead so unique. Every part of the show is built with the same goal: to make these songs feel like an experience again.
