Hip-Hop/Rap
With eyes refocusing on the Los Angeles underground hip-hop scene, Open Mike Eagle is poised to become the latest in an illustrious line of MCs to step out of the Los Angeles underground and onto the national stage. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Open Mike cut his teeth rapping with fellow broad shoulder underground MCs before moving to Los Angeles in 2004. He has since settled in with LA's Project Blowed, co-founding the crews Thirsty Fish and the Swim Team, while earning a rep as both an intelligent rhyme writer and a formidable battle MC. Gifted with a facile style, knack for droll wordplay, and penchant for penning memorable hooks that recalls fellow Blowed alums Mikah-9 and Abstract Rude, Open Mike Eagle presents art rap for the masses.

Esh & The Isolations
Esh & The Isolations
Hip-Hop/Rap
Esh & The Isolations is a proto-punk adjacent rap band from Boston, MA. The outfit is fronted by Boston-based Rapper/Producer Esh, who once made a solid 3 seconds of eye contact with Gwen Stefani.
The band’s haphazard sound ranges from kinetic synth-punk to grime-ball boom-bap and trap. Esh raps like a masked recluse on pirated airwaves manically weaving thoughtful ruminations with childish buffoonery. As XXL magazine put it, “he is a witty dude with flexible vocal abilities, and he’s definitely different. His live show is an all-inclusive shit-show that we’d love to attend.”
Esh & The Isolations provide a voice not typically heard in hip hop. It is free from ridged convention yet steeped in indie rap tradition. They can out-punk any punk band, and Esh can out-rap any old-head purist. Plus, he met Macho Man Randy Savage when he was 8.
