  • O'Flynn

    House

O’Flynn has become a household producer and DJ name within the UK electronic dance scene since his debut in 2015. With releases on Blip Discs, Ninja Tune, and his own imprint Hundred Flowers, O’Flynn’s productions have garnered support from Four Tet, Ben UFO, Gilles Peterson, James Blake, Bonobo and many many more– along with key editorial platform endorsements such as Boiler Room and The Guardian, the latter championing him as “dance floor dynamite”.

The release of O’Flynn's debut album ‘Aletheia’ in 2019 on Silver Bear Recordings, was a celebration of O’Flynn’s dexterous production skills, firmly establishing his reputation within dance music’s underground scene, whilst crossing over to garner mainstream critical acclaim and a legion of new fans from the wider electronic music community.

O’Flynn’s follow-up solo studio offering ‘Talia’ landed in 2021. Released on his own label’s sister imprint – Panthus – the inaugural single drew the attention of key editorial platforms including Beatportal & Magnetic Mag. Following on from his inclusion in Bonobo’s mix for the esteemed Fabric compilation series, Simon (Bonobo) asked O’Flynn to collaborate on a new track which became ‘Otomo’. A stunning electronic masterpiece which kicked off his 2022 and was a key contribution to the Fragments album. Simon Greene (pka Bonobo) highlighted this collaboration as a “dynamic shift’ and “one of his favourite’s from the album”. Coming full circle, O’Flynn joined Bonobo as main support for the US run of the 2022 Fragments Album Tour.

Teaming up with long-time collaborator Frazer Ray to release their collaborative album ‘Shimmer’ in October 2022 on Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour. Multiple singles all received strong radio support across BBC R1, along with editorial pick-ups from Resident Advisor and DJ Mag, with the latter reviewing the album as: “a perfect cocktail of soaring emotions and bottom-heavy bass culled from the UK hardcore continuum”. The Album was finally fully realized in its optimum setting with a debut live show celebrating the release at iconic London venue, EartH. Additional 2022 touring highlights included a 5-week sold out Phonox Residency, sets at FLY Open Air, Colour Factory, Warehouse Project & Boiler Room – appearances at Lost Village & Pukkelpop festivals, rounding off the year with a solo UK headline tour across 11 cities.

As 2023 got underway, O’Flynn joined the esteemed Rinse FM as Resident for a monthly radio show, broadcasting his much-loved disco-tinged, Nu and retrospective create digging exploits. New Music also dropped with His first solo release in 2 years in the shape of ‘Vesta’, blessing ears amongst his fans and far beyond. On the live front, key performances include a sold-out headline show at London’s iconic KOKO, a Fabric debut, a US tour joining the likes of Ross From Friends and Nikki Nair, plus a string of festival bookings across the UK & EU.

Starting the year as the first BBC Radio One Essential mix of 2024 delivered an incredible musical journey over the those hallowed 2 hrs. A debut at Glastonbury playing a B2B set with Confidence Man and a festival highlight with his set at Shambhala in Canada.

A consistent stream of Music has continued with a 5 track EP released via LG105, giving us the classic status singles like ‘Soleil’ and ‘Count You In’ (with Frazer Ray). Alongside the launch of Barry Cant Swin’s new label Earths Only Paradise with O’Flynn delivering the first release, 2 tracks that touch all corners of his diverse sound spectrum with the dancefloor fueled Disco delights of ‘Swiss Sensation’ to the intricate and the brash beat driven club banger aptly titled ‘Banggg’ all ramping up the appetite for that eagerly awaited 3rd Album…
