Official Biz is a band of seasoned stage performers, musicians, music producers, and singer-songwriters based in Southern California that play a mix of R&B and Funk. The band has performed or opened for hit recording artists such as, El DeBarge, Chico DeBarge, Christopher Williams, Lyfe Jennings, Loose Ends, Jon B, Brandy, Ray J, Jellybean Johnson (of Morris Day and The Time), Howard Hewitt, and more.
Official Biz (affectionately called “OBiz” by fans) is Influenced by music industry greats such as Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam, Morris Day and The Time, Prince and The Revolution, Dazz Band, The Gap Band, SOS Band, Earth Wind and Fire, and other legendary bands. Supporters and followers have described an Official Biz show as a high energy, top notch entertainment in the indie, electro-funk, RnB, dance, and neo-retro funk genre.
