Casual listeners describe No Stupid Questions as “the kind of band you want to bring home to your parents.” They did a lot to earn this moniker, but they are more than just three and a half pretty faces. Instead, their songs speak for themselves, with music at once old and new accompanied by lyrics both borrowed and blue.
Schur grew up listening to nothing but Led Zeppelin, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. In high school, he discovered hip hop and thought it would be cool to combine 808s with rock and roll. It is slowly working out.
Dogwood Gap is rooted in the traditions of folk music and southern gothic literature. Swampy blues and rock riffs fuel songs about jealousy, rage, lust, greed and more. The artist project of songwriter/producer Patrick Murray is currently based in Brooklyn.
Shofi with Hannah Nossan Shofi is an NYC based indie rock artist writing and performing original music with themes of love & nostalgia. The songs have a unique fusion of the melodic prowess of Goo Goo Dolls and the soulful storytelling of James Taylor. Michael Shofi and Hannah Nossan met at their 6th grade talent show. They became fast friends and collaborators after that, singing together whenever they can.
