NINA is a German Synthpop / Synthwave singer-songwriter based in London, UK.
Born and raised in Berlin, NINA cites Depeche Mode as one of her early musical influences and currently counts Kavinsky as one of her fans.
NINA's tracks have been widely used on TV shows, adverts and games world-wide and she's known as the "Queen of Synthwave" for her characteristic synthwave and retrowave sound and aesthetic. She's toured as the opening act for Erasure in their US tour in 2014 and she reached #6 on the Shazam charts when her song "My Mistake" was used in a Mercedes Benz advert in main stream European TV channels in 2015.

NINA's debut album 'Sleepwalking' was released on March 2018, and sold out within a week on vinyl and CD.
“Ever since bingeing on Stranger Things, we’ve been craving all things 80’s. That means Parallels are right on time with 'Metropolis’” - Fashion Magazine, CAN
"Canada has a great track record of producing outstanding synth-pop acts and Parallels certainly do that on "Metropolis". Vocally there’s a slight debt to Kate Bush whilst musically the band are spiritual twins to acts like CHVRCHES. They manage to bring these quality acts to mind whilst doing very much their own thing” - Electronic North, UK
Since hitting #1 on Canada's National Electronic Chart in October 2015, Toronto synth-pop group PARALLELS is back with their new album "Metropolis" released in 2017. NME described front-woman & producer, Holly Dodson’s vocals as "A young Madonna meets modern electro”. They can be heard in the soundtrack of 2013 Oscar winning short-film “Curfew” featuring Parallels’ song "Dry Blood".
PARALLELS has toured extensively from Toronto to LA, Moscow to Miami, New York to San Francisco and everywhere in between. PARALLELS was chosen by NXNE as one of the top 15 Alternative Artists to see at the annual festival in Toronto. The band has also shared billing with internationally-acclaimed artists such as Yelle, Florence + The Machine, Glass Candy, The Juan Maclean, Timecop 1983, Futurecop! and Miami Horror.
“Parallels coo and shimmer with an indoor sunnyness, with the color of iridescent and strobe lights.” (Daytrotter, 2012).
