Liquid Soul: Having exploded from a small underground street-jazz sound in Chicago in the mid-1990s, the Liquid Soul universe continues to expand at a dizzying pace. Founded and led by innovative saxophonist/composer Mars Williams, the Grammy Nominated ensemble has developed a trademark mixture of jazz and urban dance music that incorporates everything from R&B, hard-bop, hip-hop, world music and more. Downbeat proclaims that Liquid Soul “sweeps the mold and mildew out of jazz-funk and breathes it back to glorious life.”

Live or in the studio, playing it hard or smooth, Liquid Soul is a fiery concoction of classy soloists, heavy rhythm merchants and hip-hop cognoscenti. They are in a group that thrives on contact with their audience. One cannot help being moved by Liquid Soul’s ongoing party philosophy. The band’s in-the-tradition repertoire extends from classic compositions by Ornette Coleman and Miles Davis to excursions on the latest breakbeats and mad samples. They continue to bridge the musical gap between standard jazz improvisation and urban rhythm. And as always, the band stays true to its roots with a continued philosophy of bringing jazz back to the dance floor.

Ellis Clark and the Big Parade

has been a longtime fixture of the Chicago music community working as a performing musician, singer-songwriter, recording artist and record producer. He was a founding member and front man for the band Epicycle and later Social Act which in combination have released numerous albums of original material.

Recognized for his songwriting skills, Clark was signed to Paramount Picture’s publishing division Famous Music. He co-founded Cirkle Records & Idiot Savant Records and is currently Producer for all albums released on the CAUDog Records label. He is now proud to be part of Chicago Acoustic Underground, an organization that has a shared dedication to the development of new artists. In his career, he has shared the bill with Nine Inch Nails, The Smashing Pumpkins, Blondie, Dave Davies (The Kinks), Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze), UB40, The Neville Brothers, Evan Dando from The Lemonheads, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and SNL star Chris Farley to name a few. www.ellisclark.com

Amazing Heeby Jeebies was born in the back seat of a '63 Caddy tearing down Chicago's 41. Amazing Ary and Earl "Wolfdaddy" knew they had created something that could be a sinners delight marking their turf claiming the amazed.

Best described as "Dixiefried Garagabilly" drawing on various eras and genres from hillbilly southern boogie, gritty blues, 60's garage punk, deep from the underworld of moody psychotic rock n roll!
