New Long Road
New Long Road is a unique band, a folk-pop-jazz-classical group, consisting of five music-business veterans combining their talents: David Budin (vocals and guitar), Celia Hollander Lewis (vocals, Celtic harp, 12-string guitar, and banjo), Robin Stratton (vocals and ukulele), Julie Myers King (cello) and Linda While (flute). The group performs songs you haven’t heard in a long time, and songs you’ve never heard, including originals, all in ways you’ve never heard them done, with David Budin providing humor and music history between songs.
New Long Road members have performed onstage with, or opened for, an array of world-famous artists, including Jeff Beck, Jefferson Starship, Poco, Flying Burrito Brothers, Linda Ronstadt, Jimi Hendrix, Graham Nash, Peter Yarrow, Harry Connick Jr., the Eagles, Rod Stewart, Paul Shaffer, The Three Tenors, Clay Aiken, Sarah Brightman, Dennis DeYoung (of Styx), Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Roberta Flack, Don Henley and Mannheim Steamroller. And Julie and/or Linda, specifically, play or have played with the Cleveland Orchestra, Akron Symphony, the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, the Blossom Festival Orchestra, the Cleveland Pops, the Blue Water Chamber Orchestra, Cleveland Ballet, Cleveland Opera Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, and Canton Symphony.
