New Horizons Benefit Concert: Kaylyn, Dog Pact, A Raven Renaissance ft. Jen Sandoval, Erin Rae & the Heartbeets
-
Based in Seattle, WA, Kaylyn draws from the wells of introspective and vulnerable music like that of Julien Baker, Leslie Feist, and Adrienne Lenker. Her music is saturated with self-reflective lyrics that inhabit both starkly minimalist and sprawling sonic landscapes that usher in an almost spiritual contemplation. The latest work, the Virtue Signals EP, offers hearty resentment and defiant rejection - of both toxic systems and musical perfectionism.

A Raven Renaissance is an indie-folk project based out of Seattle, Washington, deeply concerned with authentic lyricism and subtle musical textures to aid the process of expression and growth through a musical medium. Jen is a Seattle-based singer-songwriter as well and together, the two lend each other's unique voices and experiences to foster a musical environment of transparency, growth, and subtlety.

Erin Rae Murray has lots of feelings, writes songs about them, and plays them with her friends.
In a short time, this Seattle Bluesy Americana singer-songwriter, has gone from a south end open mic to bringing her project, Erin Rae & the Heartbeets, to one of the biggest festivals in Seattle: Capitol Hill Block Party.
In the mean time, they have been highlighted by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert Contest, played in front of hundreds at the famed Emerald City club, Neumos, and won fans of all kinds with their welcoming anthems of personal growth. The Heartbeets play raw-yet-relatable music. You will hear entreaties to raise your chin and love yourself (and your fine ass!). Each of the band’s songs has a story, like traditions passed between family members. Indeed, they are embraces.
