Portland-based duo Harlee Case and Josh Smith have spent years building something real, and it shows. Their debut single "Hot Blooded" has already crossed 220 million streams and keeps growing, fueled by major sync placements in the Netflix film Voicemails from Isabella, EA Sports FC 2026, and a recent remix with STRFKR. Their debut album It Comes in Waves(Nettwerk) is out now. Coming off 38 sold-out US shows, a headline run across the UK and EU, and festival appearances at Lollapalooza, BottleRock, Austin City Limits, and Corona Capital, this is a band hitting their stride in real time. Don't miss them.

New Constellations are Portland-based duo Harlee Case and Josh Smith, lifelong friends who first recorded together at 14 in Josh's childhood bedroom and spent the next fifteen years figuring out who they were separately before finding out what they could be together. That journey became the emotional backbone of their debut album It Comes in Waves (Nettwerk, May 15, 2026), a record about growth, self- doubt, love, friendship, and learning to sit with all of it.
Their path here has been anything but typical. While most breakthrough moments arrive all at once, New Constellations built theirs the slow way, song by song, show by show, fan by fan. "Hot Blooded" didn't explode overnight, it grew, and it's still growing. Now past 220 million lifetime streams, the song continues to find new audiences through a string of major sync placements in film, television, and gaming, including the Netflix film Voicemails from Isabella, Good Trouble, Surface, the film Scrambled, an ESPRIT campaign, and EA Sports FC 2026. A recent remix with STRFKR has added yet another chapter, and more remixes are on the way. The rest of 2026 keeps that momentum moving, with something new landing virtually every month: the EU and UK headline tour this fall, additional remixes and syncs, the album support tour running October through December, and the year closing out at Corona Capital, Mexico's biggest festival.
“It Comes in Waves" arrived in full with a run of singles mapping its emotional terrain: "Dandelion, " "I Disappear, " "Believe Again, " "Secret Safe, " and "Waterslides, " each one distinct, each one unmistakably them. The album received social support from Pedro Pascal, Lindsay Lohan, and Kate Hudson, and the band recorded a cover of Neil Young's "Unknown Legend" for the upcoming tribute album Heart of Gold, out November 6.
The spring of 2026 saw them join The Midnight on a nearly sold-out North American run, playing marquee rooms including Brooklyn Paramount, the 9:30 Club, The Salt Shed, and closing at the Hollywood Palladium on album release day. The have several festival appearances in 2026 including at BottleRock this past May and Lollapalooza's main stage coming in August as well as Reeperbahn and Radar festival. August see the band in Europe for their first headline tour of the UK and EU, with dates across Poland, Germany, Denmark, France, and Turkey. London and Amsterdam are already sold out. They close out the European run and fly straight back to the US for Austin City Limits, before launching their US headline tour.
October will see New Constellations hit the road in support of “It Comes in Waves” , a coast-to-coast run kicking off in San Francisco and moving through Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, Dallas, and beyond. Coming off 38 sold-out US shows across 2025 and earlier this year, they arrive at these dates with a fanbase that already knows every word. The run lands in Mexico City on November 20 and 21 for Corona Capital, one of Latin America's most celebrated festivals, before closing out in their home territory with shows in Portland and Seattle in December. The October 23 release of "Colors Collide, " their collaboration with French producer French 79, lands mid-tour, with French 79's full album "Closeto Giants” following on December 4.
This is a band that has earned every room they're playing. With 15 million monthly streams, a debut album in the world, and one of the most consistent live track records in indie pop, New Constellations are exactly where they set out to be.
