Birdland Jazz Club is proud to welcome back the powerhouse vocalist and fourteen-time MAC Award winner Natalie Douglas for her fourth annual Juneteenth concert, “A JUNETEENTH JUBILEE – The Nat Pack: Sammy & Nat & Stevie & Joe,” on Monday, June 16 at 7pm.
Known for her deeply soulful voice, charismatic storytelling, and joyful presence, Douglas will pay tribute to four iconic African American musical legends: Sammy Davis, Jr., Nat King Cole, Stevie Wonder, and Joe Williams. This concert marks the New York City debut of the new program, which recently premiered to rave reviews at London’s famed Crazy Coqs. Clive Davis of The Times (UK) awarded the show a rare five-star review, writing: “(Natalie Douglas) For pure energy, playfulness and heart-on-sleeve emotion, she is in a league of her own. Her latest show…turns out to be even more exhilarating.”
Douglas will be joined by her longtime collaborator and acclaimed Music Director Brian Nash (Jennifer Holliday, John Cameron Mitchell), along with her stellar band, for an evening that promises to be as celebratory as it is soul-stirring.
With a career that spans performances across the U.S. and around the globe, Natalie Douglas has also created more than 80 concerts at her beloved musical home, Birdland Jazz Club, where she continues to captivate audiences with her signature warmth, humor, and passion.
Don’t miss this one-night-only celebration of music, legacy, and liberation.
