Nashville is Dead is back 

After a Successful Touch of Brews that was capped off with an inspiring Nashville is Dead Allstar set we are happy to be back at the Beast for our 3rd annual Holiday show

Thursday December 12th 

With this live series, we strive to create an evening of Grateful Dead and Grateful Dead-friendly music played by some of the best musicians in the city. Those of us who have looked, know that there are dead heads everywhere, as well as musicians who may just be discovering an appreciation of listening to, and playing, the music of the Grateful Dead. The beauty of the Grateful Dead’s music is that it is for everyone – inspired by, and steeped in love and inclusion…just like Nashville.

Nashville is Dead is a concept to bring us out together in one great space in music city for the love of this music. We always envision a variety of guests whether session players, upcoming Americana/Indie artists, big time members of mega bands, jazz pianists etc…paying tribute to the Grateful Dead songbook and their legacy.

To lead the evenings per usual is Mike Mizwinski (Mike Miz). Mike has been a student of the Grateful Dead’s music his entire musical life, and it shows through his writing, and swells with each note he plays on his   guitar. He knows the entire catalog and plays this music with impressive talent and soul. As an emcee of these evening, he plays an entrechat role in recruiting musicians for this project.
