Created and hosted by rising Country singer/songwriter Erin McLendon, Music on The Move (formerly Women on Fire) serves as a pivotal platform for local female musicians and entrepreneurs to share their talents.

Backed by the all-female band The HellCals, and featuring locally and female-owned small businesses, the event has become a a unique celebration of the female entrepreneur in Nashville!

McLendon, the driving force behind Music on The Move Studios, was inspired by all of the talented women who don’t get enough credit in Nashville.

“I wanted to create a collaborative space that wasn’t just country or pop; I wanted to have something that is open to all genres,” McLendon says.

Having taken many forms since its inception in 2019, Music on The Move is proud to have been featured at iconic venues such as Exit/In, Marathon Music Works, City Winery, The Basement East, and now 3rd & Lindsley!

Since the pandemic, Music on The Move Studios has evolved into a musical ecosystem, encapsulating not only the all-female showcase but also a virtual music education studio, a podcast, Paradox Jukebox, and a daily blog. Co-Founders Erin McLendon & Caitie Thompson strive to find ways to lift the veil on the music industry in all aspects. From the aspiring musician, to the behind the scenes of the business side, all the way to the pros!

A brilliant combination of sweet and bold with a witty edge, her music can be described as a modern country with a twist. As a Nashville veteran, the North Carolina native loves to toe the line of genres, making sure that even though her inspiration may come from all around, her sound is uniquely her own brand of country music.
