The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), North Miami is dedicated to making contemporary art accessible to diverse audiences – especially underserved populations – through the collection, preservation and exhibition of the best of contemporary art and its art historical influences.
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), North Miami is pleased to present Edouard Duval-Carrié: Metamorphosis this fall season. The exhibition will be on display through November 5, 2017.
Metamorphosis features 37 new paintings and sculptures by the artist, who is Haitian-born but calls Miami home. Centering on the symbolic and cultural histories of Haiti and the Caribbean, Duval-Carrié’s artistic themes are many variations on the historic life of the region, blending his distinct aesthetic with the everyday.
An artist reception will take place Thursday, October 19, 7:00-9:00 pm. Culture Shock ticket buyers who wish to attend will need to purchase a $10 special admission ticket to the reception at the museum.
Tickets are valid for one visit during the month of purchase. All sales are final. Tickets are not transferrable to another month.
The tickets may be used any day that the museum is open during the month of purchase.
