"In April of 2019 Nick Hochmuth reached out to me on Instagram asking if I’d like to do vocals over demos he had made for a previous band that had never been used. I agreed and that was the start of the band. The first person I asked to join was the man with the vicious hands on the kit, Devon Austrie. Although he has ZERO background in hardcore or punk he was down and we as a trio proceeded to record The Demo. I came up with the name Move as I wanted a band name that was short and 1 word, when you read it you understood what this band wanted you to do, and lastly have an influence from the Black radical tradition which we wanted to pay homage to the M.O.V.E Organization from Philadelphia. As soon as we recorded and released our demo lockdown period had struck, so we were unable to play any shows and thought the best use of our time was to write some more music. Then actually form a full band that could play shows and that's when we asked both Andrew Crumby and Jake MacLean to join us in late 2020 leading into 2021. The 5 of us recorded the Freedom Dreams EP together at Tower Farm studio and continued to play some shows and write an LP through 2022 and then now we are in here in June 2023 finally putting out some new jams."
