Why we're bringing it to Chicago Mountainfilm hasn't screened in Chicago in seven years. We're bringing it back to Pilsen because this city's film community is ready for bigger nights, and the audience for adventure and conservation stories here runs far wider than filmmakers. Filmmaker Friday Chicago has spent the last two years building a room where Chicago filmmakers meet, trade notes, and make things together. Mountainfilm on Tour is the next step: a 600-seat night at Thalia Hall, open to anyone who loves the outdoors, cares about the places we protect, or just wants to see great documentary work on a big screen with the people who made it.
