Emily Morrone is a 21 year old singer songwriter from Bloomington, Indiana. She began playing guitar at the age of 10 and singing shortly thereafter. When beginning to learn the guitar, she fell in love with the blues. This love for the blues followed her into her singing, as she was drawn mainly to R&B/soul singers as she discovered her own sound. Emily’s unique sound has been described as soulful and energetic, blending pop, R&B, and EDM genres while guitar and vocals remain at the heart of the music.
Her current collaboration with singer/songwriter/producer Billy Thomas, known by his stage name One Dollar Bill, has given her the opportunity to produce her original music at the Indianapolis recording studio, The Pop Machine, owned and operated by Grammy nominated music producers Eric Klee Johnson and Marc Johnson, who have worked with The Avett Brothers, The Neighbourhood, Rita Ora, and more.
Emily attends Butler University where she is a Recording Industry Studies major and Entrepreneurship and Innovation minor. Over the course of her college career, she has expanded her performance area beyond her hometown of Bloomington and broken out in the Indianapolis music scene. She plans to embark on a Midwestern tour during the winter of 2017-2018 and expand her fan base even more.
