While his Wolf Parade brethren Dan Boeckner readies his new Handsome Furs album, Spencer Krug has an album announcement of his own: He's readying the debut LP, Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I'd Hoped, from his Moonface side project, a moniker he debuted in 2009 with the EP, Marimba and Shit Drums. Moonface's original conceit was that Krug was making monster-length songs on marimba--the EP was really only one track--but this album is going to be all organ. The songs are still long though: The track list only has five songs, and the album is 37 minutes long. You can hear one track, "Fast Peter," at Pitchfork now. It's due out on Jagjaguwar on Aug. 2.
