Stand-up
Tokyo Comedy Bar, Japan’s #1 comedy venue, is bringing its flagship English-language showcase Monsters of Tokyo on the road. This spring, spend a night with the killers of Tokyo comedy as they Godzilla-stomp their way across the United States. Monsters of Tokyo delivers the top voices of Japan’s stand-up scene straight to your city: fast, fearless, and unlike anything else touring right now.
Led by Yurié Collins, Daisuke Muramoto, Daniel Wilson, Kansei Yasuda, and Shota Saimu, this powerhouse lineup will leave you laughing all night and seriously considering a one-way ticket back to Tokyo with them.
The Monsters:
Yurié Collins is a dynamic actress, comedian, and content creator. She headlines all around Japan in both English & Japanese and created/hosts the long-running and always sold-out show Tokyo Hoe Tales. Her comedy dives into the human condition, exploring dark and thought-provoking themes, and unique aspects of Japanese culture. Yurié is dedicated to bridging the gap between East and West through her art and performances, making her a compelling and influential voice in the world of entertainment. Recently Yurié was recognized as a “2025: Comic to Watch” at The New York Comedy Festival.
Kansei Yasuda
Kansei Yasuda is a Tokyo-born stand-up comedian who rose to worldwide recognition when he won a Golden Ticket on Kill Tony. He got his start in comedy while working as a barman at the Tokyo Comedy Bar, honing his craft in the city’s intimate stand-up scene. Fresh off his national tour “Respect!” Kansei is reuniting with his original comedy squad for the Monsters of Tokyo tour.
Daisuke Muramoto is a household name in Japan and widely regarded as the senpai of Japanese stand-up. Known for his fearless social commentary, razor-sharp delivery, and magnetic stage presence, he performs in both English and Japanese, cutting through politics, culture, and everyday absurdities with precision and punch.
Shota Saimu is a rising star in Japan’s stand-up comedy scene, performing regularly in both English and Japanese. Known for his candid honesty and playful silliness, Shota won first place in a national comedy competition while in college and has made numerous TV appearances. Shota is the reigning champion of the Tokyo International Comedy Festival and a popular Roast Battler in the World League.
Dan Wilson
Dan Wilson is one of the few foreign comedians to have truly cracked the Japanese comedy code. A graduate of Watanabe Entertainment Comedy School, he spent eight years performing Manzai with one of Japan’s top agencies, appearing on iconic comedy TV shows. Born in Japan and raised in Arizona, Daniel brings a uniquely warped worldview to the stage About Tokyo Comedy Bar. Japan’s leading Hub for stand-up in English & Japanese! Rated #1 for nightlife in Shibuya and was awarded the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice award for 2025. Considering that Japan is currently the #1 tourist destination in the world, this is no small accomplishment.
