Their music draws influence from many different genres; funk and soul being an anchor, their music touches on that Motown sound, jazz, disco, R&B and rock n’ roll. Every member of The Charities adds a unique personality and sound that can be heard within their music. THE EMKAYS The Emkays are a duo consisting of life-long friends Anthony Masino and Alec Kersenboom. Their writing partnership began in middle-school and carried them through various bands and projects but now they are focusing on a style that is reminiscent of their earliest inspirations of music i.e. the British Invasion of the 1960s.
