Banned in Japan for bomb threats by ultranationalist and it’s frank portrayal of Yukio Mishima’s queer identity,Paul Schrader’s Mishima retells the famed novelist’s life with incorporations from his novels Runaway Horses, Kyoko’s House, & The Temple of the Gold Pavillion.     Mishima features a soundtrack by Phillip Glass, Francis Ford Coppola & George Lucas as Executive Producers, and premiered at the 38th Annual Cannes Film Festival.
