On their most recent release Mind’s Eye trades some of their trademark sentimentality for raw energy. Across only six tracks, “RUN LIKE HELL” has breakdowns, spoken word segments, ripping lead guitar lines, and even a goth club banger. All this is to say that the project sees Mind’s Eye explore previously unbroken sonic ground. Despite this cutting-edge sound, the band effortlessly maintains the catchy pop-sensibility that fans have grown to expect from a Mind’s Eye record.
