Michael Henszey is releasing a new EP in March 2019 called "Play On," delivering powerful story telling with his rock-influenced Irish tenor voice. Defying genre, the EP project delivers tunes influenced by Prog Rock, Folk, R&B and Country. On the title track "Play On," Henszey speaks to the challenges of making original music in today's landscape.  In this new recording, Henszey worked with several notable musicians including John Sieger and members of Semi-twang, King Washington, members of De La Buena, and some of Milwaukee's veteran studio musicians including Kostia, Peter Mac, John Wheeler, and Al Arber. The album was tracked, mixed, and co-produced by David Vartanian whose credits include The Violent Fems, Jerry Harrison, Live, and Crash Test Dummies.  Henszey has been on the Milwaukee music scene for three decades as a singer/songwriter, bandleader, and artist manager. He may be best known as a studio owner who worked with Cheap Trick, Daryl Stuermer, Jerry Harrison, and countless local musicians.
