"A sensitive artist (but not frail) with a wide-ranging boldly colored voice and an open ear for off-beat material" (Washington Post), NYC based vocalist Mary Foster Conklin is a master storyteller with an affinity for uncovering lesser known songs deserving attention. Lauded as “a potent advocate for women in jazz,” she hosts a weekly radio show celebrating women writers called "A Broad Spectrum - The Ladies of Jazz" on WFDU 89.1 FM based at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, streaming on the HD2 Channel at http://www.wfdu.fm.  Her fifth and most recent recording, These Precious Days (MockTurtle Music), received worldwide airplay and was praised as “a treasure” by JAZZLIVES and “A winning new collection of songs… by a vocalist equally effective on suspects usual and otherwise,” JAZZTIMES.
