    Malcolm Holcombe

    Singer-Songwriter

The band members, who have all frequently performed with Malcolm in the studio as well as for live performances, are: Jared Tyler (dobro, electric-guitar, lap steel, vocals); David Roe Rorick ( upright bass, arco), Tammy Rogers (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), Ken Coomer (drums, percussion), Jellyroll Johnson (harmonica), and Siobhan Maher Kennedy (vocals).

To represent Holcombe's live performance range- from the intimate nature of solo acoustic, to the much lauded duo configuration with long-standing multi-instrumentalist Jared Tyler, to the energy and intensity of his full band shows- the CD/DVD set includes all of the above-mentioned musical configurations. Cut as live performances in-studio, these tracks capture the spirit of Holcombe's incendiary concert performances and timeless songwriting. As this is the first time Malcolm Holcombe has released a DVD performance, it is sure to become a much appreciated addition to both long time fans, as well as the perfect introduction for the uninitiated. The RCA Sessions is not an end, but a culmination of work that spotlights the artistic mastery of one of the most unique and irreplaceable musicians working today in the contemporary folk scene.

    Tim Easton

    Singer-Songwriter

American songwriter Tim Easton was raised in Akron, Ohio.

Traveling early and often, he learned the ways of the road and rails and spent 7 years as a bonafide troubadour, making his way around Europe, playing the streets and clubs, and living in Paris, London, Prague, Dublin, or wherever he laid his hat.

It was this period of time when he developed his songwriting style-folk based storytelling and personal traveling tales, often peppered with bold confessions or "tell it as is" reality.

Rolling Stone Magazine praised him as "having a novelist's sense of humanity.” Returning to his roots in North America, New West Records released five solo albums starting with 2001's "The Truth About Us," which featured Jay Bennet, Ken Coomer, and John Stirrat (of WILCO) as the backing band.

Invitations from Lucinda Williams, John Hiatt, and Steve Earle as a support act followed.

Many tours later, after settling in Nashville, Easton recorded an album for THIRTY TIGERS (Not Cool, 2013), which accented the stripped down Memphis & Sun Studios sound of the Tennessee Three. His newest record American Fork is a grand departure from his previous efforts, featuring a fully fleshed-out backing band, musicians and elaborate song arrangements, will be released on LAST CHANCE RECORDS (North America) and AT THE HELM RECORDS (UK) in September, 2016. Worldwide touring will follow.

Recently, Easton reached the milestone of having 100 published original songs which he celebrated by releasing a hundred solo performance videos on a hundred consecutive days, mostly from his home in Nashville, Tennessee, on his personal YouTube channel.

    Rorey Carroll

    Americana

Rorey Carroll’s sound rolls in low and powerful with the feeling of a Tarantino film for the ears. A new kind of “Country Western Folk-n-Roll”

With musical roots in the bluegrass world, she has developed her sound into something unique and bold pulling from rock/americana/folk influences. As an writer, Carroll’s strength is showing beauty in everything, from smoky bar rooms to the littered streets. She not only seeks those places out, but paints them in gorgeous Technicolor with the voice of one who has been there.

Her songwriting delivers the honest subtlety of living the life of a gypsy, while still longing for the simplicity of small town happiness.
