The song frequently appears in Shazam's weekly U.S. Top 200, goes viral on TikTok, and remains a staple in film, television, and advertising worldwide. In July 2024, Kiss Me was certified triple platinum by the RIAA, marking a remarkable resurgence; it went double platinum in 2023, following its initial platinum certification in1999.
Sixpence None The Richer has earned two Grammy Award nominations, multiple Dove Awards, and accolades such as "Top Soundtrack Single" at the Billboard Music Awards and "Best Song" at the Young Hollywood Awards. Formed in 1992 by Slocum and Nash in New Braunfels, Texas, Sixpence None The Richer has released six LPs: The Fatherless and the Widow (1993), This Beautiful Mess (1995), Sixpence None The Richer (1997), Divine Discontent (2002), The Dawn of Grace (2008), and Lost in Transition (2012), along with two earlier EPs: Tickets for a Prayer Wheel (1995) and My Dear Machine (2008).
