    Ro James

    R&B

Born in Stuttgart, Germany to a military father turned preacher, Ro James found himself moving around for most of his childhood. From Indiana, California, Hawaii, Oklahoma to the place he now  calls home, New York, music was always in the forefront of James' life. His musical inspirations come from the sounds of Johnny Cash, Prince, Tupac, Jodeci, and more. Since his emergence in  2013, Ro James has worked with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Brenmar. That same year he also released an EP trilogy: Coke, Jack & Cadillacs, which received critical praise from outlets such as The FADER, The Source, VIBE, and HypeTrak. Since then James has been covered by outlets including NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series, Interview Magazine, Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and more. Noisey calls his music, "a subtle blend of smoothed out, soulful R&B..." and Billboard declares "James' sound is reminiscent of the greats, think Prince meets D'Angelo..." Combining these influences with his journey, he has crafted his best work to date on ELDORADO. Released, May 27th, James' debut album

ELDORADO entered the charts at #3 on The Billboard R&B Albums Chart and #8 on the Top Hip-Hop/R&B Albums Chart. ELDORADO’s lead single, the sultry “Permission” topped the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart for 10 weeks and earned James his first ever Grammy nomination for R&B Performance. He also earned a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2016 Soul Train Awards where he delivered an electrifying performance of “Already Knew That” and “Permission.” With the release of ELDORADO, his soulful grit, impassioned vocals and clear vision as an artist, Ro James is defining his place in music and continuing to share his journey along the way.

St.Beauty is a duo made up of Alex Belle: lead vocals, and Isis Valentino: background vocals, guitar and bass player. Both originally from Atlanta, GA.
Alex Belle, played lead roles in musicals in high school, "Once On This island" and "Speak, I'm listening." Alex brings honest and personal lyrics dealing with relationship issues. Her melodies are haunting and linger in the melodic minor.
Isis Valentino, a member of the Wondaland Arts Society and a former dancer & background singer for Janelle Monae can be seen with St. Beauty lending her soothing vocals and delicate talents on guitar. Alex's lyrical melodies combined with Isis' chordal progressions and her minimalist approach to guitar and bass creates an overall soothing yet haunting blend of soul, folk, rock, and tribal music to the sound spectrum.
