From Bogotá, Colombia. Los Rolling Ruanas started in 2014. Playing the
traditional instruments of Carranga (a traditional musical genre of the
Colombian Andean region) and wearing the typical garment called Ruana.
They became viral on internet after making creative and unique versions of
famous songs, to release their first EP of original songs in 2016.
In 2017 they released their first LP entitled 'La balada del Carranguero'.
Their second album 'Sangre Caliente' was produced by the Colombian
producer Mario Galeano and included collaborations with Chile's legendary
Inti Illimani and the female folk rap trio Fémina.
Throughout their career the band has given more than 400 concerts
including sold outs in iconic theatres and venues. Also recorded five albums.
Los Rolling Ruanas have played in important venues and festival in the
United States and Europe.
In 2023 the band releases their sixth studio album entitled, featuring
important collaborations from the Colombian and international escene,
positioning their singles 'Guagüita' and 'Con Otros Ojos' in different and
important Spotify playlists.
Nowadays Los Rolling Ruanas is still one of the most innovative and
interesting projects in the Colombian music scene.
