Description
"The Valentine Mavericks - Presented by Zak Fennie"
Maverick: an unorthodox or independent-minded person. To celebrate those who think differently, we bring together the mavericks of our valley.
Returning to the Blue Note stage once again, singer-songwriter Zak Fennie presents a new lineup of The Valley Mavericks - this time with a flair for the romantic. Joining him for this round are solo artists Tabitha Jade, Owen Ridings, Grace Coyne, and Blue Note Napa's own electronic house cat Limbo. Presented in an intimate songwriters-in-the-round style setting, each artist will perform music with themes of love, heartbreak, and everything in between. Join us for a night filled with love, laughs, romantic stories, and great music.

Music
Zak Fennie is an indie/folk singer-songwriter based out of the Napa Valley with over a decade's worth of experience singing and performing in professional environments. Zak has won several awards from the West Coast Songwriters Organization and other songwriting competitions for his original music. In his spare time, he enjoys busking in unconventional places for residents and tourists traveling through the Napa Valley. Zak is influenced by a wide range of musicians including Dashboard Confessional, Elliot Smith, The Police, The Killers, Johnny Cash, and Death Cab For Cutie.
Romantic and sultry singer-songwriter, Tabitha Jade, brings out the raw beauty and ashes of love in her bluesy pop rock tunes. Drawing from artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Natalie Merchant, Stevie Nicks, Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman, Lucinda Williams and Sade.
Owen Ridings is influenced greatly by artists like Ray Lamontagne, Ryan Adams, and Bon Iver, though he can't help but hold a very special place in his heart for the great soul singers such as Luther Vandross, Ella Fitzgerald, Sam Cooke, and so many more. Much of his gigging days have been spent playing with a six piece rock band The Hot Dark, based in Sierra Foothills town of Murphys, CA but he now finds himself more focused on creating his own songs that are much more blues and folk based.
Grace Coyne grew up in the rural town of Barnveld, Wisconsin before settling in the Napa Valley at the age of 23. She began playing piano at the age of 4, and taught herself a myriad of instruments over the years. Wine, cooking, and marketing rule her days, but she feels most at home when she's got a guitar in hand or sitting behind the piano singing songs that tell the story of her life.
Limbo is a cat-masked producer, singer, and DJ from outer space that creates sounds from her heart. Her songs are reminiscent of dropping from a rollercoaster, getting the chills from running around in a field of dew-dropped grass, and getting into a warm bed after a long cold day.
