Kat Nichols is a Portland, OR-based Line Dance & Country Swing instructor with a passion for helping dancers of all levels connect with their bodies and the dance floor. With a background as a competitive figure skater for over 20 years, Kat brings a unique perspective to country dance, blending precise body mechanics and technical expertise with a deep understanding of movement. Since 2016, she has been a dedicated instructor in the country dance community, specializing in technique, body awareness, and creative expression. Kat holds a Master's Degree in Teaching, which allows her to tailor her instruction to a variety of learning styles and ensures that her students feel confident and supported in their dance journey. She also enjoys sharing her knowledge of choreography, stepsheets, and the art of creating dance routines, helping others expand their creative potential. As the founder of the PNW Stompeders and PNWSDF, Kat is committed to fostering a sense of community and connection within the dance world. Her goal is to make the dance floor a welcoming space for all, no matter their experience level.
