Description
Linda From Work is a fierce garage rock band that exploded onto the Seattle rock scene in the summer of 2018. Led by Hillary Tusick on vocals/guitar and featuring Sam Nowak (drums), Elliott Gregory (guitar), & Shayla Riday (bass), they have crafted a high-energy sound built on driving melodies and powerhouse vocals. Drawing comparisons to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Donnas, and Veruca Salt, Linda From Work has generated some serious buzz in the PNW music scene for their electric stage presence and dynamic live performances.
Produced by Seattle rock legend Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden), Linda From Work's striking debut LP "Burnout" has been featured on the Seattle Times’ Critic’s Ballots for Best Local Albums of 2021 and Martin Douglas of KEXP writes, "'Burnout' fully displays their gifts as an emergent force in Seattle’s ever-crowded rock scene, ruminating on failed relationships and a pernicious lack of healthy sleeping habits."
With a defiant and forceful spirit, Linda From Work’s sophomore album "The Night Is Short" delivers an emotional garage rock spectrum of bold vocal melodies punctuated with driving guitars and an energetic backbeat. Steeped in feelings of righteous anger, inescapable anxiety, and deep longing, the record is a cathartic display of the moments long after the sun sets. "The Night Is Short" is set to be released everywhere June 23rd, 2023.

WILD POWWERS
WILD POWWERS

Wild Powwers has been called a lot of things in their 10 years as a Seattle band. Booming, potent and intelligent (The Stranger), The only modern grunge band in Seattle that matters, (Seattle Weekly), and more recently and accurately, that: Wild Powwers have been putting out great and woefully overlooked albums for the past decade, growing better and better with each passing full-length (KEXP). Through their highs and lows, and occasional near-death experiences, theyve maintained a friendship bordering on familial. Theyve toured the US multiple times together, experienced the magic of Dollywood, white-out snowstorms, and packed shows that were followed by severely unattended shows. Through it all, theyve written 5 full length albums, and to celebrate this accomplishment and the anniversary of being a band for 10 years, they will be performing select songs from each of their albums, for the first and only time ever. They may even be joined by some special surprise guests, (you just have to come by and find out!)

J. Graves is setting out to pioneer something different, with bandleader Jessa Graves squeezing together a tightly packed ball of anger, grief, and acceptance in her latest album Fortress of Fun - an outpouring of wild fury and plaintive sadness with a dark, angular sound.
Big new ideas abound, not just musically, but conceptually, too. COVID’s onset in March 2020 forced musicians worldwide to adapt creatively to the impending digital-only era, so it’s rare to see true innovation in an otherwise saturated market, but J. Graves have come up with a captivating idea: a “choose your own adventure” album.
Wanting to do something with a little more depth that would engage audiences creatively while welcoming listeners into their experience, the idea was borne from finding a choose-your-own-adventure book in a sci-fi themed studio during the recording process of previous album Deathbed. Early 2020 was tough for the band; like many artists, their built-up momentum was quickly shuttered by COVID’s insurgence. So, in mid-2020, the band went on a getaway to the coast, and the house they were staying in – lit up at night next to the dark ocean – became known as their “fortress of fun,” a title that seems immediately at odds with the album’s often-dark undertones, but one that nonetheless suits Graves’s fight to stay in the light.
In that sense, the album exists in two states: the first a mournful and mysterious effort that parses waves of difficult emotions; the second a lush, eclectic undertaking that puts listeners and viewers at the forefront of the band’s collective imagination. Each song from the album comes with a video, through which viewer/listeners can make choices that will lead to further interactive videos. Though the songs are, thematically and contextually, fully distinct from their choose-your-own-adventure video counterparts, the emotion remains raw and real, and J. Graves, with the help of mixer/producer Sylvia Massy, has fine-tuned their sound like never before into something simultaneously painful and buoyant.
