This year’s festival will be held September 22-24, 2022 and is presented by NRC Health! After two years of pandemic-related adjustments, festival organizers and downtown venues are excited to be back this year with a full lineup and seven stages in the mix. Venues include: Duffy’s Tavern, The Zoo Bar, Bodega’s Alley and 1867 Bar, as well as our three main stages – the Bourbon Theatre and the outdoor Night Market and Duffy’s Backlot stages.
Headlining the main stages are Pennsylvania pop punk group The Menzingers, performing their 2012 album “On the Impossible Past” as part of their upcoming tour celebrating the album’s 10th anniversary; New Orleans hip-hop/funk/soul outfit Tank and the Bangas, who just released their sophomore LP “Red Balloon” in May; and country songwriter Nikki Lane, who returns this fall with her first LP in five years, “Denim and Diamonds.”
The top of the bill is rounded out by buzzworthy artists Lido Pimienta (Canadian-Chilean pop), Together Pangea (L.A. surf-punk) and Lady Wray (R&B/soul). Plus, the party continues when Ru Paul’s Drag Race queens Roxxxy Andrews and Coco Montrese take the stage for a night of fabulous performances supported by local drag performers. Lincoln Calling’s lineup also boasts a deep roster of regional and local artists, spanning genres as varied as psychedelic rock, hip-hop, folk, blues and indie rock.
In addition to our music offerings is the brand new Tower Square Community Village – a partnership with our friends at the Lincoln Arts Council and presented by Ameritas – which will close 13th Street between P and Q streets and present artist vendors, interactive art installations, nonprofit booths, live music and more. This space will be an all-access, all-ages, family-friendly and free portion of the festival’s Friday and Saturday nights.
