An evening of Broadway leading-men’s songs and sassy standards, served up with a twist of SHE.
New York stage & screen actor, Lianne Marie Dobbs, returns to her native San Francisco, bringing her hit solo show direct from 54 Below to Feinstein's at the Nikko.
Join Lianne as she raises a glass to the musical strength and lyrical beauty of women through classic Broadway songs and sassy standards - many originally intended for the male voice - including “Something’s Coming”, “How to Handle a Woman”, and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face,” bookended by humorous and thought-provoking insights from celebrated feminists.
Powerfully arranged and music directed by Ron Abel, with guest vocals and choreography by Luis Villabon (A Chorus Line).

"Saucy and sunny” according to Variety, Lianne is a familiar face from her performances at TheatreWorks, ACT, 42nd Street Moon and San Francisco Symphony. Now a New Yorker, but still a genuine feminist with a degree from SFSU in Theatre Arts and Women's Studies, she has a penchant for used bookstores and a love for songs from the Golden Era. Major acting credits include The Gilded Age (HBO), Law & Order, and The Equalizer, Les Misérables, Always… Patsy Cline, Jane Austen's EMMA, Million Dollar Quartet.

Feinstein’s at the Nikko, San Francisco’s premiere nightclub, is proud to present Lianne Marie Dobbs in “For Dusty… The Windmills of My Mind” one night only with music director Ron Abel and local band members on Saturday, August 23rd at 8pm. “For Dusty... exceeds ALL expectations." (TheaterPizzazz); a must-see playful exploration into the eclectic music and quirky mind of the one and only Dusty Springfield.
After headlining Catalina Jazz Club in LA and 54Below in New York City, BroadwayWorld named "For Dusty" as one of the TOP TEN tribute shows of 2024 - alongside New York Pops at Carnegie Hall.
Familiar songs like A House is Not a Home, The Look of Love and Son of a Preacher Man are made completely new thanks to skilled and soaring arrangements by renowned pianist and arranger Ron Abel.

LIANNE MARIE DOBBS is a familiar face from her many performances at TheatreWorks, A.C.T., 42nd Street Moon and San Francisco Symphony. Now a New Yorker, but still a feminist with a degree from San Francisco State University in Theatre Arts and Women's Studies. Acting credits include The Gilded Age (HBO), Law & Order, and The Equalizer, Les Misérables, Always… Patsy Cline, Man of LaMancha, and the world premiere of One For My Baby in Los Angeles. Named one of the best vocalists of the decade by BroadwayWorld and a headliner at top clubs all over the country with her collaborator and music director, Ron Abel.
RON ABEL (Music Director and Piano) is a multi-award winning composer, arranger, conductor whose accolades include: LA Critics Circle Award Winner and L.A. Weekly Award Winner for the musical score toTwist of Fate (with playwright Lissa Levin and lyricist Chuck Steffan) and his arrangements of Broadway hits have been used by orchestras and singers world-wide. He has been the music director for acclaimed vocalists such as Lucie Arnaz, Helen Reddy, Linda Purl, Peter Allen, Joely Fisher, Valarie Pettiford, Julia Migenes and John Lloyd Young. Ron most recently toured the US, Africa and UK as music director and pianist for Lucie Arnaz’ acclaimed solo show I Got The Job!
