Description
Leon Anderson, Jr. is a renowned jazz drummer, composer, and educator from Shreveport, Louisiana, celebrated for his deep groove, impeccable technique, and soulful connection to the New Orleans jazz tradition. A protégé of Ellis Marsalis and Victor Goines, Anderson honed his craft performing at venues like Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro and collaborating with legends such as Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Roberts, Terence Blanchard, and Wycliffe Gordon. His versatility spans classical percussion to modern jazz, earning him recognition as both a dynamic performer and respected bandleader. Now serving as Associate Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at Florida State University, Anderson has shaped the next generation of jazz musicians through his mentorship and innovative teaching. His debut album as a leader, Live at Snug Harbor (2025), captures his signature energy and artistry, honoring the New Orleans roots that continue to inspire his work on and off the stage. Tonight's performance includes an all-star line-up featuring: Leon Anderson - drums Steve Lands - trumpet Ricardo Pascal -  saxophone Oscar Rossignoli - piano Amina Scott - bass Shows at 7:30 & 9:30pm  Doors at 7:00pm & 9:00pm  Restuarant is Open 5pm - 11pm for dinner before or after your showtime: Advance Ticket Holders can now automatically make dinner table reservations for the Dining Room online via OpenTable.com ! Advance Ticket-Holders can also make table reservations for dinner by forwarding your E-ticket confirmation with dinner request info to reservations@snugjazz.com after your tickets have been purchased online. Dinner Service without Advance Concert Tickets is first-come, first-served based on availability upon arrival. Bar Room is Open 5pm - Midnight for all, with or without tickets. Kind Reminder:  Snug Harbor does NOT serve the full menu inside the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime. Due to our intimate venue's limited seating capacity, advance tickets are strongly suggested in order to guarantee seats for this acclaimed show!

Refund Policy
ALL CONCERT TICKET SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. However, we do offer ticket transfers from one name to another, provided you email us your e-ticket confirmation and the name(s) you would like your ticket(s) transferred to via shows@snugjazz.com before 5pm on day of show, or sooner. You can also choose to gift your ticket(s) to our New Orleans Music Student Program where un-claimed tickets are offered to young music students and/or rising musician apprentices, if you cannot use your ticket(s). We can also transfer tickets from one show TIME to another on the SAME DATE ONLY, *provided space is available* at the time of your request. You must email shows@snugjazz.com before 5pm on day of show with your request. Tickets are NOT transferrable to a different artist/date.
