Lauren Mian is a New York based alternative folk songwriter. She shares her own experiences as a young woman in life, love, and all else, through the lenses of both cynicism and endearment. Her musical style and inspiration derive from a range of genres and artists - namely The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, and Madison Cunningham to name a few. Her goal as an artist is to bridge the gap between old sounds, with a modern, relevant twist. Lauren is thrilled to be headlining an evening at Hill Country, and cannot wait to celebrate her debut album with you, out mid November!

Swivel Chair blends melodic guitar hooks with rock solid harmonies, pop choruses and ballads. The road miles, subway rides and park bench observations of songwriter Evan Getz and Lizzie Swan provide the backdrop for soulful song tales of struggle, optimism, redemption and heartache. Rich Mcgrann, Roger Oliver and Noah Swan bring a groove and backbone to power the songs with muscle and grace.
JOELLE BENSAID
Singer-songwriter Joelle Bensaid puts a modern spin on nostalgia. With a unique style that combines elements of jazz, folk, soul, and soft rock, she strives to create an ethereal experience in both her music and her live performances. She has played various venues across New York and Paris, most recently headlining the iconic venue DROM. Her forthcoming single “At the Altar” is set for release on October 6th!
WEDNESDAYS AT ONE
Grim Lohman, Alice Mason and Griffin Thiel formed Wednesdays at 1 after meeting as students in the songwriting program at The New School. Together, they perform their folk-inspired original songs. They rehearse every Wednesday at one.
