    Hailing from Decatur, AL, music shaped his earliest memories. A natural-born performer, Lamont first picked up a guitar as a teenager. His breakout came with a viral cover of Ray Charles’ “Hit The Road Jack”—racking up over half a million views overnight. From there, his rise was swift: electrifying audiences on America’s Got Talent and Showtime at the Apollo while amassing a loyal following of over half a million fans on TikTok. A repost of his cover of “Rubber Band Man” by Questlove caught the attention of GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, leading to an invitation to record in Savannah, GA—and ultimately, a deal with Cobb’s MCA Records imprint, Lucille.

    Lamont closed out 2025 with two major releases. His debut EP, Introducing… Lamont Landers, arrived on September 26, 2025, showcasing the full range of his soulful songwriting and unmistakable voice. Just in time for the season, he followed it with a two-song holiday release, Lamont Sings… The Holidays, on November 21, 2025—offering his warm, timeless take on modern Christmas classics.

A classically trained pianist who has been writing and performing since early childhood, he gained industry attention as a music industry major at SUNY Oneonta and officially signed a multi-album record deal with Mercury Records.
