Says tastemaker magazine No Depression, "One of the most striking things about seeing Lenker perform is his relationship with his guitar. He doesn't just play it, he becomes it -- or maybe, it becomes a part of him."
Korby Lenker - firstborn son of a mortician and a school marm - is a skilled multi-instrumentalist and an award-winning songwriter. He released his 6th full length record in March of 2014, and has been touring heavily before and since. In February he signed a licensing deal with Secret Road, and shortly afterward his song If I Prove False to You was added to rotation on Sirius XM "The Coffeehouse". Another track, Forbidden Fruit appeared on two episodes of AMC Family's "The Fosters." Music and Musicians Magazine dubbed Korby "Who's Next" in their June 2014 issue. Korby released his fifth official video this year, for the quirky "Here We Go Again."
A longtime writer of fiction and memoir, Korby has written a book of short stories based on his 14 years of life as a touring indie musician. Entitled Medium Hero, it comes out on Turner Publishing in December 2015.
Korby has performed internationally and has shared the stage with such legends as Willie Nelson and Ray Lamontagne, as well as Nickel Creek, Tristan Prettyman, Susan Tedeschi, and many others. He recently acquired a tour partner, a black kitten named Dempsey.
Megan has sold over 35,000 copies of her four previous independently released CDs, and she is currently touring across the US to support her band's brand new fifth album, "Running on Machinery", which was recorded with the help of Nashville producer, Alex Wong (Vienna Teng, Delta Rae).
Her preceding album, A Token Of The Wreckage was recorded with help from David Bryson (Counting Crows) and Jerry Becker (Train). Her songs have also won several awards: in 2013 alone, she was a finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest, a finalist in the International Songwriting Contest (ISC), and a finalist in the Show Me the Music Contest. She was also a finalist for Best Female Artist in the International Acoustic Music Awards (IAMA).
Touring extensively throughout the United States and Europe, Megan's adventures include opening for Jamie Cullum at a sold-out Fillmore, playing electric guitar on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live as part of the Jeff Campbell Band, singing the National Anthem to a crowd of 45,000 Giants baseball fans, performing duets with Pat Monahan of Train, and touring with Dire Straits co-founder David Knopfler throughout Europe.
Over the last few years, Wong has been quiety earning a reputation as a sought-after creative force, producing artists such as Delta Rae (Warner Music), Ari Hest (Downtown/Mercer St), Morgan Karr (Hollywood), Melissa Ferrick (Mpress), and Vienna Teng (Rounder/Universal). He garnered a LATIN GRAMMY nomination for his work on Miguel Bosé’s album “Papitwo.”
In 2012 he stepped into his own as a solo artist with his full-length release A City On A Lake. It became a Spotlight album on iTunes and was featured on NPR’s Mountain Stage, and in 2013 he was invited to tour in the U.S. and Europe supporting Vienna Teng.
