Kingdom of the Holy Sun
Pop
Formed in early 2012 in Seattle, WA, Kingdom of the Holy Sun offers their twist on psychedelia , by drawing on such genres as the melodic and fuzzed out sounds of garage rock from the 60’s, meditative drones and instrumentation from the Indian Sub-continent, as well as the more recent sounds of neo- psychedelia. These influences form touchstones they use to explore new sonic landscapes. Their psychedelic sound ranges from the repetitive beats of the Monks (A Go Go) to The Doors inspired gems (Her sweet delight) to hypnotic drones of Spacemen 3 (Pharmacokinetics). Live shows often include colorful visuals and liquid light show. In addition, their sound has been compared The Velvet Underground, Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Black Angels.

Moon Darling
Psychedelic
There are those bands who recall an older time and place, a moment in history when music was more about saying something of substance than it was about counting the number of streams. Seattle psych rockers Moon Darling cling to this ideology, creating a bluesy sound that harkens back to that classic ’70s rock howl. By channeling the influence of bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple (with a little bit of weirdness thrown in for good measure), the band builds a kaleidoscopic version of those artists that remains relevant and reverent among all the gaudy imitations littering the modern musical landscape.

Frond
Dream Pop
Frond’s seed was planted on a west-bound cross country trip amongst plateaus and playlists. Seattle’s freshest psych-tinged rock quartet provides an ivy-covered wall of sound. Intimate dreamy vocals, electric 12-string shimmer, and melodic textures drift atop driving rhythms and dynamic passages.
From foggy placid meadows to fuzzed-out shadowy forest depths, Frond draws from the surrounding mossy Pacific Northwest landscape and contrasted city vibrancy, echoing their own strain of lush dream pop.
Thick and verdant, ethereal and interwoven, the four-piece entreats sensational examination. A lean toward, a long inhale. Your eyes and ears opened. The quartet blooms.
