    King Leg

    Rock & Roll

King Leg’s debut album MEET KING LEG, produced by Dwight Yoakam and Chris Lord-Alge, was released on October 20 via Warner Brothers Sire/Via Records.

Upon signing King Leg, Chairman of Sire Records Seymour Stein had the following to say: “King Leg makes American Music. It is Rock ‘n’ Roll, with a nod to R&B and Country – which as we know, helped to usher in Rock ‘n’ Roll back in the 1950s. The lightning rod for Rock ‘n’ Roll was when Elvis Presley signed to RCA in 1956 and put out ‘Heartbreak Hotel’. When I heard King Leg’s music, I was totally blown away – not just by the immediacy of the songs, but also the extraordinary voice – reminiscent of the great Roy Orbison. King Leg may be young, but musically he is fully mature.”

    Americana

Andrew Leahey & the Homestead make music for city highways and open horizons, for pop fans and roots rockers, for the heart as well as the heartland.

They're an American rock & roll band, bypassing the sub-genres and trends that come and go every decade and, instead, focusing on the anthemic, guitar-driven sound that's been blasting out of car stereos at 65 mile per hour ever since God created FM radio. Written in the wake of an emergency brain surgery operation that nearly wiped out Leahey's hearing, "Skyline in Central Time" is the band's collective rallying cry, an album that funnels desperation and gratitude and heartbreak -- as well as a lot of guitar solos -- into eleven tracks produced by Wilco co-founder Ken Coomer. Here's to second chances.

    The Middle Ground

    American Alternative

Newly minted Nashville transplants, The Middle Ground, emerged on the Milwaukee music scene in 2013 as The Joe Neary Band and quickly found a niche with their alternative pop sound. The band prides themselves on their DIY approach and records everything on their own. Their first album, "From Love, to Loss, to Living," was released June 2013 under the name Joe Neary, and was nominated for a 2013 RadioMilwaukee Music Award. The band's varied influences of pop, blues, and alternative have likened them to Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, and Young the Giant. The Middle Ground has held showcases at RedGorilla Music Fest in Austin, TX, Summerfest, and Yellow Phone Music Conference, and has shared the stage with the likes of SoMo, Celeste Buckingham, and Will Champlin. The band won the 2014 WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Award for New Artist of the Year, and released their self-titled EP last winter.
