Award-winning trumpeter, vocalist, songwriter, and producer Keyon Harrold is touring in support of the GRAMMY nominated recording 'Foreverland' on the Concord label. This is an outstanding crossover album with features a bevy of collaborators. British R&B vocalist Laura Mvula sings on the title track 'Foreverland'. Emerging young singer Malaya is featured on 'Don't Lie'. Common and Robert Glasper contribute to the song 'Find Your Peace', and GRAMMY winning musician, producer, and singer-songwriter PJ Morton lends a wistful vocal to the nostalgic single 'Beautiful Day'. The single 'Beautiful Day' has been receiving world wide radio play.
Keyon Harrold first came into the International spotlight for his work as the trumpet voice behind the GRAMMY winning Don Cheadle film 'Miles Ahead', and his critically acclaimed album, 'The Mugician', (Sony Legacy / Mass Appeal). As a bandleader, he has created a compelling new statement with a riveting mix of jazz, Afrobeat, soul, spoken word, hip-hop, blues, rock, and even American folk. As a soloist, his distinctly warm trumpet sound simmers in the middle register; creating drama without aggrandizing, and mesmerizing live audiences with an emotionally charged concert presentation. Wynton Marsalis has stated "Keyon Harrold is the future of the trumpet".
In addition to being one of the leading voices in Jazz Music, Keyon Harrold has collaborated with many of the top hip hop and pop artists including: Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Eminem, Maxwell, and Anthony Hamilton, and rock legends Keith Richards and Jeff Beck. These experiences broadened his musical horizons beyond jazz to include funk, Afrobeat, R&B, rock and roll, and hip hop.
He is currently touring an ensemble that is making one of the strongest artistic statements of any musical group today, rooted in jazz music, the band freestyles and solos with authority and weaves the spectrum of African American music into a sonic expression that can best be described as Bop Pop Hip-Hop Jazz!!! Audience members often reference his concerts as among the best they have ever attended.

Jazz
Weedie Braimah is a young premiere master of the djembe. He began his career at the early age of two, born in Ghana, where he was first introduced to West African culture and drumming. In East St. Louis, which is considered home for Braimah, he began his life long quest and professional career in the study of cultural music of the diasporas. A maverick performer of the highest caliber, Braimah has an almost insatiable knack to draw the entire audience into his grove, zigzagging through Africa on a breathtaking rhythmic roller coaster.
Braimah comes from a long lineage of musicians; including his mother, a respected jazz drummer and his father, a world renowned composer and master drummer. Having studied with the greats such as Mamady Keita, Famadou Konate, Abdoul Doumbia, and Fadouba Oulare just to name a few, it was no surprise that Braimah excelled musically and became well known on the drum and dance circuit. Braimah has been a performer, teacher and preserver of African culture for over 20 years and continues to peruse new musical journeys every day.

Savion Glover is the son of Yvette Glover and is known world renowned for his Tony Award Winning Choreography, whose career has spanned over four decades since starring on Broadway at the age of 10 years into existence. Being rooted in the education of sound, Mr. Glover has received the Doctor of Fine Arts honorary degree from Montclair State University and continues taking supreme advantage of every opportunity to share with all- ancient teachings of the most insightful thinking patterns and approach to self expression graciously given to him by mentors such as Jimmy Slyde, Isaiah “Lon” Chaney, Gregory Hines, Charles “Honi” Coles, Chuck Green, George Hillman, to name an honorable few. While continuing to serve as an ambassador and living legend of the dance, when asked how he’d describe his contributions, “it is with proud privilege to know that dance as a form of self expression is still in demand as leading cure to inspire attempt at articulation beyond words and that i Am a part of this phenomenal concept as i Am”.
In his most recent return to the stage Savion Glover is significantly categorized as an illustrious celebration of sound with “Savion Glover featuring PROjECt.9.”. This production introduces original dance compositions and instrumental score written by Savion Glover. In addition to the expression of him that will be present through the Dance,
Mr. Glover will also display his musicianship as percussionist in this percussive lead movement of sound. Being accompanied by vocalist and woodwinds, “Savion Glover featuring PROjECt.9.” inspires sounds belonging to a particular narrative initiated by those of mythological - ancestral codes, The HooFeRz. While honoring the supreme contributions from other Divine Intelligent Sound Masters such as Jimmy Slyde, John Coltrane, Gregory Hines, Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor to name a few, this piece also continues to explore and share limitless realms of self - expression through Dance and Sound.
